Back in Bangkok !

SAWADEE!
We have arrived back in Bangkok after a two hour boat and 8 hour bus ride! ITs nice to be out of the sun...i think i got a little too much! Our new place has air conditioning (we spurlged so that we are able to sleep and get refreshed for our next and last long hull until home...yes its an extra $2 a night which is a lot.) Jess (my girl best friend; Dustin makes me say that) will meet us on June second. I'll pick her up at the airport so that she doesn't have to navigate Ko San Road alone!!!! After watching the movie the Beach the other night we were expecting a different Ko San Road however i'm glad its not a busy and hectic as it once was. I'm also glad that i don't have to drink snake blood and swim across the ocean to a deserted island with cazy marajuana famers. Anyhow...ITs nice to be back in a city for a while and to be surrounded by locals instead of all foreign tourists!

The book i've been reading (The killing fields) is getting good, but sad. I'm getting nervous for Cambodia knowing their history and the stories of Cambodians during the reign of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge. ITs entirely too difficult to comprehend and the sight of the people described in the books i've read as well as stories from other travellers is making me nervous and emotional. I'm excited to see where this all happened and feel empowered and inspired tobe educated about what they've overcome, however i know it will be hard.

We hope to hang out in Bangkok for a few days and take some day trips to the floating market as well as some cities outside to visit the sights, before finally making our way to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Then Phom Phenm then Beijing...and home.
Hopefulyl i'll post more picutres tomorrow of the city (it was dark on our arrival).
